He was hungry for something which she readily gave. She was hungry for something which he readily gave. And they both thought they knew it was what the wanted. How they both craved looking for it only to realize in the end that it was not what they wanted and that's the greatest tradegy in life. The

I agree, restraint is not characteristic of a true romantic. Neither is restraint characteristic of someone who has ingested camote fries at Mang Inasal. Stinky stinky.

Kuneho (3/20/2009)

Indeed, kamote fries are not french fries =)

A day without sex is a day wasted indeed.

to JR3. aren't you clever.

JR3 (2.27.2009) At the end of the day, however, the truly passionate among us know that a day without sex, is a day wasted. We live, we thrive and we survive, but great sex is to die for. Cheers.

JR3 (2.27.2009)...the clever suitor successfully lures the object of his desire with inspired declarations such as, "I don't care for sex. I find it an embarrassing, dull exercise. I prefer sports, where you can win."

This week, Fully Booked: Dialogue takes its discussion to post-holocaust Germany with Bernard Schlink's The Reader. Schlink weaves a tale of seduction and intrigue as he uncovers the affair between fifteen-year-old Michael Berg and thirty-year-old Hannah Schmidt. The book quickly goes beyond the taboos of age and sex as the two soon realize that their relationship is fueled not only by their passion in bed, but by the books read aloud by Michael to Hannah. And as the novel moves from Michael's prepubescence to his adulthood, he discovers that their connection survives long past the summer of their affair.

This episode of Fully Booked: Dialogue brings together the opinions and ideas of Anton Conejos, (Literature Professor, The Loyola Schools), Pia Faustino, (Producer of GMA-7), Timmy Potenciano (Freelance Copywriter) and Judd Roy (Professor of Law, Ateneo de Manila Law), as the four take us behind the riveting and captivating words of The Reader; in a lively discussion about sex, love and the holocaust.
