Up Dharma Down continues their tradition of exploring the unconventional by premiering their latest music video "Taya" on Pelicola.tv's MusikCinemaNeu. The band has a large following in the online community, with their videos (music videos and videotaped recording sessions and gigs) finding a steadily growing audience on the Internet. Up Dharma Down also has a website and online blog which gives their fans a unique (and quite updated) look into the inner workings of the band. It was only natural that Up Dharma Down and their manager Toti Dalmacion decided to reveal their video first on Pelicola.tv:

"We're proud to be part of what Pelicola.tv has started," Armi Millare, the band's vocalist and front woman, states. "It's something we've never done before. I think it's interesting and fresh. I'm glad to have found a new medium to share our music with people - for a change and a good one at that."

The video in itself is quite unusual. Shot over a course of five days, it makes use of still photography instead of a conventional video camera. Each single frame was taken with extended exposure and hardly any light other than what was already available on location was used. This arduous process produces what you see here: An otherworldly montage of images, of Up Dharma Down interacting with light-matter and ghostly figures.

"Taya", director Nicolo Reyes' third video for Up Dharma Down, is a reflection of the band's unique sound, set apart from anything else in the Philippine Music Video Industry. With their powerful vocals, haunting melodies and catchy rhythms, Up Dharma Down is set to innovate again, this time with the local music video scene.
